Meet and Greet
Most people arrive Friday and set up camp. Enjoy the beach or explore the dunes. Expect an almost continuous line of Cruisers arriving at the Turf N Surf camp.
The booth will be open from 5:00 – 7:00 pm.
S’mores and Cocktails
Come on over to Main Camp and enjoy a bonfire with S’mores starts at 7:00 p.m. Bring your choice of cocktail, beer, or beverage to go with them!
Saturday, November 12
The booth will be open from 9:00 – 11:00 am, and again from 2:00 – 4:00 pm.
11:00 a.m. Head east of the main camp area and get your tickets for the Poker Run. While you wait for the official start, enjoy plenty of photo opportunities with all kinds of Land Cruisers!
High Noon Poker Run
Tour the 1,500 acre dune complex as you visit the five poker run checkpoints. The shot gun start will be at 12:00 p.m. (High Noon). Imagine an Oklahoma land rush of Cruisers heading into the dunes. The poker run will NOT be guided! You’ll use a map to guide you to the five checkpoints. The run can be easily completed in less than two hours. The High and Low hands will split the jackpot at the completion of the run.
Would you like to volunteer to help with the Poker Run? Send us a message through the Contact page. Click here.
As the Poker Run ends you’ll have more free time to explore the beach and dunes. Expect to see impromptu hill climbing competitions and big air dune jumping. It’s a Turf-n-Surf tradition!
Beach Party Bonfire & Cruiser Light Parade
At Sunset: As always, the local Cruiser crew will provide plenty of wood for an evening bonfire. Bring your family, friends, and beverage of choice for some good Cruiser camaraderie.
Last year we added a fun and new twist to the Saturday night festivities: A Cruiser Light Parade! Lots of people got into the spirit and covered their land Cruisers with all kinds of lights and decorations. Dress up your Cruiser with unique, bright lighting and join in the parade crawl through camp. Let’s light up the night sky and show off our rigs! This Cruiser-Conga-Line will start at the main camp at 8:00 p.m.
Finally, there’s always night wheeling in the dunes if you dare! Please note: We suggest night wheeling with a fellow Cruiser rig. Safety first!

Kid’s Sand Pit Challenge
There will be a play area set aside all weekend for any and all kids to build a 10′ x 50′ pit in an attempt to get a Land Cruiser stuck. On Sunday morning the kids will pick one rig to travel through the pit without help. Last year the kids won and Seth Howard’s rig officially lost the challenge! Can the kids do it again for a win 3 years in a row? Find out at Main Camp around 9:00 a.m.!
Cruiser Caravan to Pozo Saloon
Wake up, eat breakfast, then break down your camp area. At 11:00 a.m. we’ll leave the beach as a Land Cruiser caravan to head overland to the Pozo Saloon. Optional trails include Big Falls with 13 water crossings and Garcia Ridge with steep, loose hill climbs and great views. Good food, good beer, and goodbyes to each other once we reach the saloon.
